Footage is irreplaceable, so we treat data like an heirloom. On set we back up to at least two drives immediately, verifying copies before cards are cleared. Drives travel separately and remain encrypted for security.
In the studio we create a primary and secondary archive with checksum verification and offsite cloud redundancy. Project files and music licenses are stored alongside media so the film can be re mastered years later if needed.
